Aviramp shortlisted for national business award after international expansion

British aviation manufacturer Aviramp has been shortlisted for the Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade International Expansion of the Year Award after a period of significant growth.

Aviramp, which makes step-free boarding ramps that help passengers with disabilities and reduced mobility to access aircraft, joins a national field of almost 200 finalists across 20 categories at the UK's flagship business awards, headlined by Lloyds Bank with ITV as media partner and the support of the UK government.

Close to 1,000 of the company's ramps are now in use around the globe. Sales have increased 68 percent over the past three years, while export performance has risen more than tenfold since 2021.
