Agereh launches solar-powered GPS tracker to improve airside ground equipment safety

Industry news

Agereh Technologies has introduced AGSET, a solar-assisted GPS tracking system designed to improve the safety, security and operational readiness of airport ground support equipment.

The battery-powered device mounts directly to GSE with two screws and immediately begins transmitting location and movement data over public or private cellular networks, giving airports, airlines, ground handlers, FBOs and maintenance teams visibility of equipment across ramps, aprons, cargo areas, hangars and remote stands.

The solar-assisted rechargeable power system and IP67-rated enclosure are built for outdoor airport environments from roughly -40°C to +65°C, with support for public cellular, CBRS private cellular and 900 MHz communications. The platform can flag misplaced equipment, verify assets are staged before aircraft arrivals, detect unauthorised movement after hours, and support maintenance decisions following significant impacts. The company is inviting airport operators and ground handlers to join focused pilot evaluations.
